This is a district in Tokyo known for high fashion like Prada and Versace but there are also lots of galleries and emerging artists. The Design Festa gallery is in the area as well as Omotesando Hills the new upscale mall created by famed architect Tadao Ando. A short walk brings you to Harajuku- where people dress up in "cos play" (costume play). From french maids to nazi zombies you can see it all including drooling middle aged men taking pictures of young girls. Yoyogi park is also close. I guess it's Tokyo's central park.

You really have to get into the back streets and small alleys to see any of the better galleries, restaurants, and used clothing stores. A few weeks back some friends invited us to visit an experimental sound performance (you can read more in the artist album.)
