[ Mitake Mtn ]

About an hour and a half outside the Tokyo metropolitan area lies a fairly secluded mountain range still in Tokyo To (state). Kaoruko and i felt the need to get away so we decided to spend 2 days hiking and one night in a Ryokan- a traditional Japanese Inn. The mountains reveal the Animistic, shinto and Buddhist religious ties as you pass shrines, temples, and statues in the middle of nowhere*. The area is typical of tourist villages in mountanous regions with many inns and hot springs.
