something is missing
originally from "International Bulletin of Missionary Research" had an article on "The Congregational Leadership Crisis Facing the Japanese Church" by way of http://blog.simon-cozens.org//post/view/1025
"Matsunaga Kikuo has cited statistics showing that "the average Christian life of a Japanese Christian is only 2.8 years! This means that quite a number of the Japanese are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ but after three years they lose their Christian commitment and perhaps their faith in Jesus Christ."
i would say that they never were Christians. so much to say about how important the way we do things is.

Some essential understanding
I was browsing through the web looking for people who "get it" because i have lost some people who i thought had it but didn't. Anyway the 1st one is really funny and needed.

anxious
I believe i am beginning to understand where this restless anxious feeling happens for us city dwellers. I am listening to a Prairie Home Companion on web radio. As garrison keller gives a detailed description of how people live in small towns. Methodical and filled with generations of tradition even if it can be a hinderance or hassle. In the city there is much randomness. Peopledon't think through what they bring to the city they just do it. Whether those things be actual objects for market or ideas it is more about if there is a market or audience. I feel often i am foced by city culture to accept so much of it by default. It is almost impossible not to live by default.
