Jesus never planted a church

Well did he? People getting together to talk about what God did and who He is, how He works, and to celebrate Him is a by product of all the things He taught. Mostly He taught about the Kingdom of God. Most of the parables He told were "the kingdom of God is like..." He simply went around "ministering" to people and as He did so He would use the everyday events to explain about what the Father was like and how He operated. People were everywhere as they are today so He didnt have to tell everyone to come to the sanctuary- The sanctuary or temple was different than today anyway. Soap boxes were a little more widely accepted then or I should they they took more of a public square/ speaking style. Nowadays we also have soapboxes- magazines, newspapers, books, movies, songs etc. Its a little more abstract which can confuse communication a little more but then again Jesus spoke in parrables that few understood. They needed God's help to give them understanding- which is the same today.

My point church is a by product- if our goal is to plant churches we are missing the point. Namely God himself. Celebrate Him , talk about Him, listen to Him etc and the gatherings will happen in the"spiritually natural". Its a little like driving. When we first learn we watch the hood of the car to see if we are going straight later we learn we will drive straighter if we focus on the horizon.. like all illustrations this one will self destruct in 3 min. if you over analyze.
